THERE IS HOPE IN PERSEVERANCE; PMS NATIONAL DIRECTOR ASSURES

There is hope in perseverance, once we put our trust in God; no matter the situation we find ourselves. This assertion was made by the National Director of the Pontifical Missionary Societies of Nigeria (PMS), Rev. Fr. George Olusegun Ajana; in his homily at the celebration of the Mass to mark his 50th Birthday anniversary, held recently at the Orphanage of the Holy Family Sisters of the needy; Bwari, Abuja.

Fr. Ajana, who decided to mark his birthday golden jubilee with the children of the Orphanage, expressd gratitude to God for his mercies and blessings on him in the last fifty years, especially his 25 years in the Lord’s vineyard as a Priest of the Catholic Church.

According to the celebrant, whatever situation we find ourselves, it is with the knowledge of God and it has purpose in our lives. The PMS National Director noted that there is no success in life without tribulations and challenges; adding that with prayer, hope and dependence on God, every obstacle in life can be overcome.

Expressing deep concern for the life children in orphanages in different parts of the country are going through, Fr. Ajana noted absence of parental care or family environment is not only painful but also a life trauma that only God can provide the consolation. He however added that with perseverance, commitment, seriousness, believe and trust in God, the children will overcome the challenges of their lives, and become great and whatever God wanted them to be.

Ajana narrated the challenges he faced in his early life as relayed to him by his mother, stressing that because of his destiny, God saw him through all the tribulations he faced. He urged the children of the Orphanage to remain steadfast in their faith and trust in God and assured them that with God on their side, success and victory is theirs, later in life.

Fr. Ajana expressed his gratitude to the Holy Family Sisters of the needy for giving him the opportunity to celebrate his notable age of fifty with the children of the orphanage as well as the wonderful way they are taking care of the children, to give a better life in the future.
